Seeking Community-Based Organizations focused on food justice or hands-on cooking workshops to promote skill building and accessible healthy meals

  • We're excited to offer nonprofits and community-based organizations (CBOs) the chance to lead one-time or recurring workshops, classes, or programs centered around food justice and healthy food access for both youth and adults. These valuable experiences will be offered at no cost to the community, fostering inclusivity and shared growth.

    • Location:

      The Food Pavilion at India Basin Waterfront Park

      900 Innes Avenue San Francisco, CA 94124

    • Frequency: Weekdays

    • Hours: Daytime hours before 5:30pm. If you need to schedule an evening appointment, kindly indicate your preferred time on the application form or reach out to us via email at info@thefoodpavilionsf.org

    • Workshops Begin: Late October 2024

    • Brand New Commercial Kitchen:
      Access to a fully equipped kitchen with top-quality culinary tools and appliances.

    • Marketing and Promotional Support:
      Additional promotional efforts to ensure a higher turnout of attendees.

    • Permit Guidance: Guidance on how to apply for the necessary food and beverage permits.

    • Stipend: Up to $500 will be provided to help offset some of the workshop costs. Receipts must be provided for reimbursement.

    • Deposit: A refundable deposit of $100 per session is required to use the Food Pavilion and secure your spot.

    • Insurance: Proof of liability insurance before using the space. En2action and San Francisco Recreation and Parks will need to be added as additional insured.

    • Food Manager Safety Training: Food Manager Safety Training must be completed before using the Food Pavilion. For more information on how to obtain one, click here.

    • Food Permits: Food permits must be obtained to give away sample food or drinks to the public. For more information on how to obtain one, click here.
